Product Description
Optical windows are typically fabricated from two flat, or commonly referred to as plano, polished surfaces that are optically transparent and intended to separate, seal, or otherwise protect other components. The double-sided manufacturing process yields exceptional parallelism and transmitted wavefront making it ideal for visible windows in industrial and biomedical applications, as well as IR windows in infrared and military/defense applications.
Sapphire could trasmit wide wavelength region ranged from 150nm to 5um. Due to the high refractive index, Sapphire is also widely used for making prisms and ball lenses. Let me know the specs for your optics, maybe we have similar ones in stock.
In addition, Sapphire is very hard and duarable, has very high resistance to scratch. Only less harder than diamond. If your application needs optics in harsh enviroment, we strongly advis Sapphire.
